Milk.
Milk is often called the complete liquid food. It is an indispensable part of an infant's diet and rightly so .milk is composed of water, carbohydrate ( lactose) , fat , protein, minerals and vitamins.
Definition of milk :- milk is a whole, clean, lacteal secretion obtained by the complete milking of healthy milch animal, properly fed and kept excluding that obtained within 15 days before and 5 days after calving.
Milk = 75 to 100 kilo calories per 100 g
## Types of Milk and Their Components
Types of Milk
Cow's Milk = Water, lactose, Protein(casein whey),fat vitamins (A, D, B12), minerals (calcium, phosphorus)
Whole Milk = Contains all natural milk components .
Low-Fat Milk = Reduced fat content compared to whole milk
Skim Milk = Very low fat content
Soya milk= Water, soy protein isolate, soya oil sugar, calcium carbonate, vitamins (A,D, B12)
Almond Milk =. almonds, emulsifier, thickener, sweeteners, vitamins (A, D, B12), calcium carbonate
Oat Milk =. Water, oats, oil, thickened sweeteners, vitamins (A, D, B12), calcium carbonate
Rice Milk =. Water, brown rice, oil, thickener, sweeteners, vitamins (A, D, B12), calcium carbonate.
Coconut Milk. =. Coconut water, coconut meat, coconut oil.
Goat's Milk =. Similar to cow's milk but with different protein structure.
Sheep's Milk=. Similar to cow's milk but with higher fat and protein content.
